I’m currently working on two novels. Skirting the Line (in edits) is a suspense story about a family man whose secrets endanger the people he’s trying to protect. Dead Signal: The Null Born (out on submission) is set in a near-future world where three corporations have replaced governments and every person is tracked by a signature they can’t switch off. Cael has spent his life making himself unreadable — until a job goes wrong and he goes to ground in the same derelict building as Sable, a woman who ran from the system that built it, and the boy she’s been hiding.
Three more are in early development: Gravemail, about four friends who build a vault for the world’s secrets and become the most hunted men alive; The Fray, about a man who can step outside of time and what it costs him to keep trying; and The Overlooked, about five kids nobody watches and the missing girl everyone stopped looking for.
About the Author
Rob Bolton is an executive in the technology industry who has lived and worked across three continents, from his roots in Maryland to extended time in Europe and Asia before settling in the Washington, DC area.
His work has shaped a deep interest in systems, control, and the ways technology intersects with human behavior, themes that carry into his fiction. He writes character-driven stories that explore connection, identity, and the limits of what can be measured.
He is the author of the business title Lose the Pressure…Win the Deals and the novel The Gift. He is currently seeking representation for his sci-fi thriller Dead Signal: The Null Born, and is at work on a third novel, Skirting the Line.
